How Can I Help Fundraise

Sponsor Fundraising & Awareness Events

Every year, groups of TPRF supporters have joined together to raise funds for TPRF’s programs or simply to expand awareness about the mission and activities of the Foundation. Sometimes they focus on a specific cause or program and sometimes not. Golf fans on four continents have held Benefit Golf Tournaments, often involving local sponsors, and followed by a dinner. In 2010, more than 500 volunteers from 18 cities raised over $70,000. Other events have increased interest in the Foundation in specific communities, raising general awareness of the Foundation’s work.

Groups sponsoring such events have held auctions, concerts, special dinners, picnics, sales, and more—each with its own flavor, reflecting the desire to have a lot of fun and help others in the process. While the Foundation does not sponsor fundraising events, support is available in the way of materials, information, photos, and contact with others who have put on similar events, where possible.

A group of volunteers from a center in Norwich UK, that offers information about Prem Rawat’s message of peace, recently decided to organize a fundraising event in support of TPRF's humanitarian initiatives. The wonderful music of John Adorney, in concert with Daya Rawat, was the inspiration for an “out of the box” fundraising event in Denver. Local volunteers planned a media and music party to premier the HD screening of the concert, with live music, refreshments, and sales. Denver Open Media, adjacent to one of the Arts districts of Denver, is the hub of community access television in the city and a very lively place where young people tend to congregate. Its contemporary studio space, big screen and high quality sound systems made it the perfect choice for the event which took place... Read more

In all, 90 golfers took part in teams of four, each team consisting of two club members and two “friends” of TPRF. The format used was the “Texas Scramble,” which golfers know is particularly good for encouraging teamwork and... Read more

She thought that it might be more inspiring and fun to turn her birthday celebration into a fundraiser. Catherine teaches children, and so raising funds for TPRF’s Food for People initiative is dear to her heart. To introduce TPRF she showed a slideshow... Read more
