Humanitarian Aid

TPRF has active aid initiatives in more than 25 countries

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) focuses its humanitarian-aid efforts on providing the essential needs of food and water to people most in need, whether it is due to extreme poverty or natural disasters. In addition, the Foundation helps to provide eye care to people who might otherwise be in danger of losing their eyesight.

TPRF provides the funding for this critical aid through the generosity of its donors, and partners with nonprofit charitable organizations registered to operate in the country of need to implement and deliver this aid. Often the Foundation focuses on helping people in remote areas who are not receiving help from other sources.

Great effort is made to find charities to partner with, whether large organizations or smaller local ones, that are most able to deliver the aid directly, efficiently, and effectively with respect for the aid recipients and their culture. TPRFis particularly interested in forming partnerships that have the potential for a long and productive relationship.

TPRF’s first aid grant was provided in late 2003. By the end of 2010, TPRF had made 116 grants to aid people in 34 countries on five continents, working with 55 partner organizations.
